Zumba with Kim is about more than exercise.

It is about music, movement, encouragement, laughter, and creating a space where people can show up as they are.

Kimberly Pelaez is a licensed Zumba® instructor based in San Antonio, Texas. She has been a ZIN™ instructor since March 2018 and is licensed in Zumba® Basic 1 and Zumba Gold®.

Whether you are brand new, getting back into movement, looking for a fun way to stay active, or just need one hour where you can breathe, dance, and feel human again, you are welcome here.

What Kim teaches

Kim teaches both Zumba® and Zumba Gold®.

Zumba® is a dance-based fitness class built around music, simple choreography, and steady movement. It is energetic, fun, and designed to help people move, sweat, and enjoy the process.

Zumba Gold® is a lower-intensity option that keeps the joy of dance-based movement while making the class more accessible for beginners, active older adults, or anyone looking for a gentler pace.

Kim’s approach

Kim brings warmth, joy, and encouragement to every class.

Her style is welcoming and low-pressure. She wants people to feel comfortable trying, laughing, learning, and building confidence over time.

The heart of the class is simple:

Show up.

Move your body.

Have fun.

Keep going.

Who this is for

Zumba with Kim is a good fit for people who want:

  • A fun way to move
  • A welcoming class environment
  • Encouragement without judgment
  • Music and energy
  • A break from the stress of the week
  • A simple way to reconnect with their body
  • A community-centered fitness experience
  • A lower-intensity option through Zumba Gold®

What to bring

Bring water, comfortable clothes, supportive shoes, and a willingness to move at your own pace.

You can modify steps, take breaks, and ease into the class. Progress matters more than perfection.

A note for first-timers

The first class can feel intimidating, but it does not have to be.

You do not need to be a dancer.

You do not need to know the steps ahead of time.

You do not need to be in perfect shape.

Everyone starts somewhere. Most people are focused on following along, having fun, and doing their best. You are not expected to get everything right.

Just keep moving.

Why it matters

Movement is one of the ways people connect.

A good class can help people feel stronger, more confident, and less alone. Over time, those small moments of connection can become part of a healthier family and a healthier community.

That is what this space is about.
